Animal Crossing Crazy

For Animal Crossing Lovers...

Animal Forest was a game released only in Japan. Greedy, eh? Just kidding. They reserve the right to do so. Especially since it's an old, Nintendo 64 game, and wasn't the only platform just released there.
True, there are some people around the world the special ordered this "hidden" part of the Animal Crossing franchise, but, they probably stand within the 10% of America and possibly Europe. Think about that, not too many, eh?
Even from the start of Animal Forest it's crazy how many people believed that it is much like a cross between Harvest Moon and others... They've said that about every game except for Wild World haven't they? Yeah, I thought so. I don't see the correlation between the two, but this apparently is just me.
In fact, if you've played Animal Crossing for GCN then you will soon find out that Animal Forest is practically the same game. Unfortunately for Animal Forest, Nintendo 64 was starting to die out by the time of its release. Yeah, real sad. But it did make a slight success despite the fact that Gamecube was on the market at the time. Never did make it overseas, I'm not sure if this was because of the low sales because of it not being for Gamecube, or because they wanted a game all their own. Either way, I don't think they really knew what they had created at the time. And that it would take the world by storm with its series-to-be.

Another, all on its own Japanese release sequel to Animal Forest. This was just mainly to improve what Nintendo 64 couldn't do. For example, everytime you loaded the game, you had to input the date and time. But, because of the Gamecube's internal clock, all that changed and they could really use the slogan, "It's playing when you're not."
Another feature added was the Museum, where you could donate, basically just giving the players more to do.
In fact, it's real fun with the GBA connectivity, and it made it fun, creating an island and all. Now, hearing this, you would think, this is definitely the same thing as Animal Crossing. True, in some ways, Animal Crossing mainly came out because North Americans and Europeans and all those fancy people didn't have a version of their own. Of course, our version is enhanced with the e-Reader for our games.

Animal Forest e+ contains all of Animal Forest +'s aspects except there are new character designs, conversation topics, and you can take pictures of village life. You could also visit your island without the addition of your game boy and you could download mini clips to your game boy and many new items.
There are many cool aspects. Unlike Animal Crossing, the e-Reader and its cards play a huge impact on this game. Instead of needing a GBA for the island, you must buy and pay it off as another debt, and the only way to get an islander on there, is to scan one of your e-Reader cards on through. The pufferfish, swordfish, large beetle and large butterfly are only obtainable on the island.

The only reason that that rumor about smashing a rock and entering Resetti's house was started was because of this game. You can, in fact, do such. Of course, it can only happen randomly, once a week. Also, another really cool aspect of Animal Forest e+ is that if a player in your town's birthday is soon, you can go talk to K.K. and set up a special birthday song that he'll sing to that person. Then, when the player goes to talk to Totakeke, he'll sing it to them!
There are minigames that you can download onto your GBA once a day from the wishing well: Dodgeball; Rock/Paper/Scissors on a log; Red-light, Green-light style game: an animal will be at the well. He/she will turn around and start saying words. While the animal is saying words, press the A button to move forward and try and reach the animal (you are competing against 3 other animals). If you are moving when the words stop, you lose. If you are the first to make it to the animal at the well, you win. Win quite a few times and you may get a prize.
You can even move in this game!! As long as you have another memory card in slot B then you can move on up.
Eavesdropping didn't start in AC:WW. It started with this game. You are allowed to eavesdrop, just like you can in Wild World. They had a lot in Japan so early in the series, eh?
